An IG ac@LoveYourLines, is creatively celebrating women's stretch marks.
The account was started by two East Coast moms - who have asked to remain anonymous.
The creators were inspired to feature the stretch marks and other lines on women's bodies after a discussion about how their own bodies had changed after bearing children. They started the IG account, put out a call for submissions, and received a huge response right away!
An estimated 80 percent of people have stretch marks, which are often caused by rapid growth, weight changes or hormonal c hanges. Pregnancy is often the biggest cause, which leaves moms with "tiger stripes" - but keep in mind, even men aren't unaffected by stretch marks and women who haven't had children get them too!

Stretch marks usually signify that your body has gone through a dramatic change. Whether it's from growing taller, having a baby, losing weight or even gaining muscle, stretch-marks are evidence of your journey. Stretch-marks and scars are maps on your body, and you should never be ashamed of how they got there. They are a part of you.
This body positive movement is great for everyone of every age. It's important to remember that every body changes, we're not exactly the same physically or even mentally. It's time to love yourself for you and stop trying to compare what you have with photoshopped images of models.
Stay positive, love yourself, be strong, and celebrate others strengths and bodies as well!
